My signature summer cocktail

As a Prosecco enthusiast, I will always try to find new ways of enjoying it. Wether it is served as such, well chilled on a sunny afternoon, or even mixed, it just represents summer. With August being the last summer month we need to enjoy it at it`s best. This cocktail mixes gin, fruit, and fizz from your fridge to make something spectacular that is perfect for impromptu parties and sunny days.

Bottled sunlight in a glass—Yle’s Summer Spritz

This summer bloom spritz is a wonderfully elegant celebration of summer’s most vibrant flavors. The drink reflects warmth, sophistication, and seasonal delight as it combines citrus, berries, gin and effervescent Prosecco.

What you need for 1 serving:

  • 40 ml Gin
  • 20 ml fresh lime juice
  • 20 ml fresh orange juice
  • 3–4 blueberries (lightly muddled)
  • 2 frozen raspberries (optional)
  • Prosecco to top
  • Garnish: a thin peach slice, a thin lime slice + mint sprig

How to do it

This is one of the most easiest cocktails and it will take just a few mintes to prep it up.

  • To release their essence, gently muddle blueberries with lime and orange juices in a shaker or mixing glass.
  • Add the Gin and stir carefully to blend and chill.
  • Strain into an ice-filled wine glass.
  • Add frozen raspberries (optional) — they’ll gently add color and flavor.
  • Top with Prosecco while stirring lightly to retain sparkle.
  • For a final touch, garnish with a peach and lime slice and mint sprig.

Notes

This spritz is infused with brilliant citrus zest and gentle peach sweetness, and the berries bloom in every bubble. It’s light, refreshing, and will definitely be the star of your social media stories. I suggest to have it served chilled in a large wine or spritz glass. Ideal for warm afternoons, elegant brunches, or evening soirées.

Mocktail version available upon request. The cocktail is officially registered on Diffordsguide.com
