Stubaier Gletscher kicks off winter season 2025-2026

From the first time I visited this resort I felt a connection. A connection to a place that exceeds your expectations. This amazing ski resort has everything you need for a perfect ski trip. The Austrian Alps are legendary for the winter fun. Nevertheless this area is like a small paradise where winter fun meets austrian cuisine. It is my happy place.

Why this place stands out

At an impressive altitude of up to 3,210 m, the glacier ski area is often described as Austria’s largest and most snow-sure glacier resort. Just a 45 Minutes drive from Insbruck, it is definitely one of the destinations for this winter season. And trust me, you will not be dissapointed. With about 65 km of slopes plus 30 km of ski routes, there’s terrain for beginners, intermediates, and freeriders alike. An amazing panorama will take your breath away if going up to take a picture on Top of Tyrol.

The area is very much affordable. You will get not only an amazing experience exploring the slops but also a budget friendly vacation.

Accomodations for a ski trip

The best way to book an accomodation is to lool on stubai.at. Affordability doesn’t mean sacrificing comfort here. The valley of Neustift (and other villages around the glacier) offer a variety of lodging options for different budgets. You can also search for accomodation in Fulpmes, Mieders or Schönberg.

You’ll find holiday flats and apartments around Neustift, many with self-catering options which tend to save money.

While in the Stubai Valley you can choose to ski or snowboard at the glacier or at the other resorts in the valley. Schlick 2000, Serlesbahnen qnd Elferbahnen ar also an option.
