RoWine 2024: A sensory experience of wines
This event, held in the heart of Transylvania, in the Central Park of Cluj-Napoca,celebrates the country’s rich winemaking legacy by highlighting the diversity and excellence of both Romanian and foreign wines.
RoWine 2024 provides an extraordinary opportunity to discover Romania’s different wine regions, each with its own particular terroir and grape varietals. From the rolling hills of Transylvania to the sun-drenched vineyards of Dobrogea, attendants can have a sensory tour of Romania’s winemaking region.
The event is organized by Marinela Ardelean a renowned promoter of Romanian wines, both domestically and internationally. With thousands of wine reviews, three editions of the landmark “Wine Book of Romania,” a bilingual guide to Romanian and Moldovan wines, another cosmopolitan top cuisine adventure combining Romanian wines and Italian dishes, and the recently launched WinesOfRomania.com platform, she is one of Romania’s most prolific wine authors.
Also among the organizers, I mention Liviu and Mihai Popescu, the owners of the Fratelli group, an important name in the Horeca industry in Romania.

For this year`s edition, attendants had the opportunity to taste a wide range of Romanian wines, including crisp whites, full-bodied reds, and everything in between.
One of the highlights represents the exploring of indigenous grape types such as Fetească Neagră and Grasă de Cotnari, as well as international favorites grown on Romanian soil. With so many wines to try, there is a perfect pour for every taste.
RoWine 2024 offered a comprehensive array of wine workshops and masterclasses to help you expand your wine knowledge and appreciation. The chance to learn about wine pairing, wine tasting, and the most recent trends in Romanian winemaking is extraordinary. Whether you’re interested in the nuances of terroir or the history of Romanian wine, these informative workshops can help you improve your wine knowledge.
This year`s edition in Cluj-Napoca also served wonderful bites from Macromex to complement its wines. The festival bites corner always provides exhibitors with a taste of Romanian gastronomic pleasures, resulting in a harmonious match of food and wine.
This year`s edition was a tremendous success with a record of visitors eager to taste and explore wines.
