Julia Sauter ranks 7th at the European Figure Skating Championship

Julia Sauter delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 European Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, finishing seventh. This is an important milestone in her skating career, demonstrating her commitment to the sport.

Skating as Romanias representative, Julia Sauter is a person to be proud of. Her new coaches are Roxana Hartmann, Christopher Boyadji and Simona Punga – an amazing team that shaped her current ranking.

Remarkable moments of an achievment

Sauter finished 8th after the short program with a score of 61.96, laying the groundwork for a good free skate. Building on this energy, she performed an impressive free skate, earning a total score of 172.64.

We contacted Julia for a short note on her performance. She is not only an amazing athlete, she is first a human being.

IBMagazine: How do you feel about overall about your achievement? We can only assume that you are really happy. Your performance was amazing!

“I am very happy. I had a bad first half of the season and I was this close to quitting. Coming back in the last two competitions and starting to trust myself again and achieve a 3x top 10 finish feels really nice. This is thanks to the work done by my new team, they are really pushing me to become a more complete figure skater. We intensified the trainings, therefore I feel more confident now”, says Julia.

A extraordinary progress from 2024

This accomplishment comes after her ninth-place finish at the 2024 European Championships, demonstrating her consistent growth on the European level.
Sauter’s commitment and drive have been visible throughout her career, and this recent result reflects her hard work. Starting this season with a new coach and a completely different approach on ice, Julia demonstrates her abilty to addapt. She performed with grace and balance showing us a different person. Stronger and better!
